That’s precisely what happened as ABC’s American Idol moved to Tinseltown for the start of Hollywood Week.

Idol hopefuls were put through their paces in front of judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie as they competed in a series of genre challenges.

Chayce Beckham’s might’ve made the best of his moment.

The California native has struggled with alcoholism in the past. He channeled the battles on that “rough, rocky road” into a lightning cover of Tyler Childers “All Or Nothing,” the video for which has gone viral on YouTube. Watch below.
