As she continues to make the rounds with her new single “Girl From Rio,” Anitta took center stage on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with a retro-inspired performance Tuesday night (May 4).

As part of the show’s Mercedes-Benz Concert Series, the Brazilian pop star presented her new single live from Miami’s The Goodtime Hotel, where she was wearing a pink headband and light-colored romper and was joined by four dancers and a male model dressed as a sailor.

Fusing traditional bossa nova with trap melodies, the English-language track samples the timeless 1962 hit “Garota de Ipanema” (“The Girl From Ipanema”) and pays tribute to Brazilian women.
