Soundalikes, those ads which flick a middle finger at licensing and permission by sounding a heck of a lot like that hit song, is something of a scourge in the music community.

Michelob Ultra is moving the goalposts. The Anheuser-Busch-owned beer brand took out a Super Bowl spot which is overflowing with celebrity lookalikes.

Only with this campaign, the real celebs are talking it up on Twitter.

There’s a fake Usher, J Balvin, Sylvester Stallone, Lucy Liu, Megan Fox and a very real Don Cheadle, alongside his not-so-real doppleganger.

The ad is a play on separating the wheat from the chaff, splitting the real deal from the really bogus.

Actors Cheadle and Liu have promoted the clip and its #RealIsBetter mantra on their socials.
