José Luis Rodríguez “El Puma” was honored with the Legend Award during the sixth edition of the Latin American Music Awards on Thursday (April 15).

The Venezuelan star kicked off his performance singing “Dueño de Nada” with a small orchestra on set with him. Then, Carlos Rivera joined him before it was David Bisbal’s turn to sing “Voy a Perder La Cabeza Por Tu Amor” with the legend himself. For a grand finale, Sofia Reyes and Carlos Vives joined them all onstage to perform an uptempo version of “Agárrense de Las Manos.”

“El Puma” then went on to accept the award, thanking his family, Sony Music, the press and his fans. “You are the ones that got me so far,” he said.

Hosted by Mexican actress Jacqueline Bracamontes, the 2021 Latin AMAs – live from the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida – also featured performances from Ozuna, Maluma, Camilo, Los Dos Carnales, Eslabon Armado, among others.
