Nathan Evans’ sea shanty “Wellerman” is enjoying smooth sailing in the early phase of the chart week.

The sea shanty was the most downloaded and streamed song in the U.K. over the past weekend, according to the Official Charts Company, to lead the First Look survey.

“Wellerman” has played a long game. After seven weeks inside the Top 3, the single finally ousted Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” last Friday, ending the ballad’s eight-week run atop the chart.

Also on the chart blast, which ranks singles based on sales and streams in the first 48 hours of the chart week, Riton x Nightcrawlers’ dance track “Friday” featuring Mufasa & Hypeman lifts into second position.

Meanwhile, Justin Bieber is eyeing his 25th U.K. Top 10 with “Peaches,” featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon.

Lifted from Bieber’s new studio album Justice, which dropped last Friday, “Peaches” opens at No. 7 and is the most streamed new release of the week so far. The Canadian pop singer could double-up in the Top 20; his Justice track “Hold On” vaults 31-14.

The Official U.K. Singles Chart is published Friday evening, local time.
