Silk City weaves its way to its first No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, as “New Love,” featuring Ellie Goulding, rises 2-1 on the chart dated March 20. Previously, the production duo of Diplo and Mark Ronson peaked at a No. 2 best with its Dua Lipa collaboration “Electricity” in November 2018.

“Love” is U.K. singer Goulding’s fifth leader, and first since “Love Me Like You Do” ruled for seven weeks in April-May 2015. Before that, she reigned with “Outside” (by Calvin Harris featuring Goulding; six weeks, March-April 2015); “Burn” (one, 2014); and “Lights” (two, 2012).

“Love” is locking in core dance airplay at outlets including Music Choice’s Dance/EDM channel, SiriusXM’s Diplo’s Revolution and WCPY Chicago, according to MRC Data. (The Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart measures radio airplay on a select group of full-time dance stations, along with plays during mix shows on nearly 80 top 40-formatted reporters.)

Diplo has additionally made three trips to No. 1 on Dance/Mix Show Airplay as a member of Major Lazer, with “Lean On,” with DJ Snake and featuring MØ (13 weeks at No. 1, 2015); “Light It Up,” featuring Nyla and Fuse ODG (two, 2016); and “Lay Your Head on Me,” featuring Marcus Mumford (2020).

Meanwhile, Ronson has notched one Dance/Mix Show Airplay No. 1 as a soloist: “Uptown Funk!,” featuring Bruno Mars (three weeks, 2015).

Additionally on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, Billie Eilish earns her third top 10 with “Therefore I Am” (17-8) and The Weeknd skyrockets to his 10th top 10 with “Save Your Tears” (26-10).

On the multi-metric Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, DJ Snake and Selena Gomez debut at No. 4 with “Selfish Love.” It’s the list’s highest arrival in nearly a year, since SAINt JHN also started at No. 4 with “Roses (Imanbek Remix)” (March 28, 2020).

“Selfish” is DJ Snake’s eighth top 10 and Gomez’s fifth, totals which include their previous collab “Taki Taki” (credited to DJ Snake featuring Gomez, Ozuna and Cardi B), which bowed at No. 2 in October 2018 and peaked at the rank for 20 weeks.

“Selfish” drew 4.8 million U.S. streams in the tracking week, also good for a No. 4 entrance on the Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs chart. With 2,000 downloads sold, the track also opens at No. 6 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales.
