After record-shattering fundraising and visits on Monday from soon-to-be-former president Trump and president-elect Joe Biden, Georgians will finally vote on Tuesday (Jan. 5) in a run-off election that will determine control of the Senate. If Democrats can pull off two wins they will take control of the Senate from Republicans — with Vice President-elect Sen. Kamala Harris serving as the tie-breaking vote in a 50-50 chamber — but if Republicans can hold on to both seats they will retain control and serve as a potential bulwark against Biden’s ambitious first 100-days agenda.

As you can imagine, with so much at stake as the country battles both the raging COVID-19 pandemic and Trump’s repeated attempts to cast doubt on the democratic process, lots of prominent voices have been speaking out and encouraging Georgians to get out and vote. “Georgia ready,” native son T.I. tweeted on Monday night, linking to a retweet from the Rev. Raphael Warnock, who is facing an uphill battle against incumbent Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler; Democrat challenger Jon Osoff is in a tight race with Sen. David Perdue.

John Legend got in on the action as well, joining a call with Peach State volunteers to encourage them to help get out the vote. “I’ve got GA on my mind & so do all these amazing volunteers,” Legend said of the hard-working folks he surprised by popping into their Zoom call. “Thank you to everyone out there putting in hard work to help get Jon @Ossoff & @ReverendWarnock elected. We’re almost to the finish line. GA let’s vote & win this tomorrow! to make a plan to vote.”

Another native son, Jeezy, not only encouraged his fellow Georgians to get out the vote, but also promised that to celebrate he’ll be “dropping surprises at polling locations across ATL” during the day, asking them to keep an eye out for the #JeezyAtThePolls hashtag.
